Gabriel Garroum Pla

    Gabriel Garroum is an ESRC-funded PhD researcher at War Studies Department, King’s College London. His main research areas are political violence, identity politics, contemporary security issues and critical geopolitics all with a special focus on the Middle East and Syria more specifically. He holds a MSc in Middle East Politics with Distinction from SOAS (2014) and a BA in Political Science from Pompeu Fabra University (2013). He has previously worked at the Spanish Commercial Office in Istanbul (Turkey) and he is currently a fellow of the Research Centre in International Relations (RCIR) at King’s College London. He is also a regular contributor and analyst of Middle East politics for several Catalan and Spanish media platforms such as El País, El Mundo, El Confidencial, La Vanguardia, TV3, Rac1, Diari Ara, among many others.
